Finless Foods is a real-life startup that makes plant-based and cell-cultured tuna. While there is a large market for plant-based and cell-based chicken and beef, there is a lack of options for seafood (Finless Foods). Finless Foods aims to shake up the plant-based meat industry and push consumers to enjoy plant-based tuna.
This exhibition includes a made-up pitch deck for Finless Foods created by one of our curators, Katie Duong. The pitch deck would be presented to potential investors, most notably IndieBio. IndieBio is the first and most prominent accelerator for biology startups. While the startup scene is largely dominated by computer science and technology, IndieBio provides biological solutions to complex problems. IndieBio has funded 159 companies and created over $4.2 billion in value (IndieBio).
